The Non-Woven High Density Edgewear Disc has more fibers than resin for a longer and consistent service life. It is not a heavy removal material. Since NWBHD offers a softer scratch, it is not as aggressive as NWBHS (high strength) material, but is still well-suited for cleaning up edges. Non-woven abrasives consist of random nylon fibers bonded together into an open web, and impregnated with resin and abrasive grit. Advantages of non-woven abrasives include a consistent finish, long service life, cool cutting, and soft, yet fast working action. They are waterproof; can be used wet or dry, and easily rinsed out. Coolants, lubricants, and cleaning agents can also be used with a non-woven. With its ability to reduce loading, non-woven abrasives are excellent for paint or coating removal.
