A sisal polishing wheel is composed of natural fiber that is both slender and hard. With abrading and grease absorbing characteristics, sisal polishing wheels are perfect for aggressive cutting applications. It is most effective when used on hard metals like stainless steel, carbon steel and iron. These spiral-sewn polishing wheels are a combination of sisal and cloth to keep the paste compound longer. It is also to avoid scratches on areas other than the workpiece. Sisal polishing wheels will easily remove light scratches and leave your work virtually scratch free, but with a dull satin finish. All polishing wheels must be used with a polishing compound. To get a fast cut, use a sisal wheel with KLINGSPOR's KPC2U compound.
