Yellow treated polishing wheels have a special chemical added to the cotton which gives them more stiffness and aggressive cutting action, effectively allowing them to work faster than standard cotton wheels. The chemical treatment also gives these wheels a longer lifespan. All polishing wheels must be used with a polishing compound. Try KLINGSPOR's KPC2U compound with yellow treated polishing wheels for heavy cuts on stainless steel, carbon steel, and hard aluminum. KPC3U polishing compound is ideal for start polishing non-ferrous metals and removing minor scratches from previous sanding. KPC4SF compound is suitable for mirror polishing on all kinds of metal surfaces, especially stainless steel, titanium, and chrome.
