The TITAN SMT 850 flap disc is a combination of coated abrasives and non-woven abrasive material. The coated abrasive with multibond lubricant allows for cooler finishing on stainless. Choose this flap disc for TIG weld removal and a beautiful satin finish in one. Create an even finish throughout the life of the TITAN SMT 850. Best results are achieved with a variable speed grinder. The largest advantage of TITAN flap discs is the longevity compared to the standard SMT. The unique design of the trimmable disc allows the user to utilize the entirety of the flaps, giving much longer life. The hard-to-reach middle section of the flaps often go unused, and with trimmable backing, the user can simply trim the edge back and easily access the untouched new abrasive. Longer use means less disc changes and more production time. TITAN flap discs are also quick and easy to change. Each disc includes a built-in 5/8"-11 threaded arbor for quick and easy mounting. No tools needed! They are even able to run cooler, due to their unique fan shape, which gives the discs more life. The firm plastic backing plate allows for more aggression when needed.
