Product Details
The CS 320 Abrasive Belt has tear-resistant polyester backing for high speeds, with the additional benefit of being waterproof, making the belt ideal for wet grinding. This abrasive belt delivers high aggressiveness during grinding thanks to the closed coating and its ability to grind at high belt speeds. Silicon carbide is one of the hardest abrasive materials manufactured synthetically, second in hardness to diamond. With a synthetic resin bond, the silicon carbide abrasive grains stay securely and firmly in place. The combination of tear-resistant polyester, silicon carbide grain and synthetic resin bond provides all the necessary properties to process hard materials. Excellent for wet applications on glass, plastic, and stainless steels. Closed coating is recommended for abrasives that are used for work on metal as it ensures a long service life and a high stock removal rate.
