Other than base salary, eligible employees can earn other pay through outstanding efforts and staying with the company.
KLINGSPOR Awards Program (KAP)
Each KLINGSPOR Factory Sales Representative (other eligible Outside Sales employee) can earn points in competition from a number of categories. Accumulated points can be redeemed for cash or company merchandise.
Sales Representative of the Year (SOTY)
Three Factory Sales Representatives with the most points are rewarded with grand prizes, such as a salary bonus and vacation getaway.

Regular full time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance. They also have the option to cover immediate family with dependent coverage. Premiums are deducted from pre-taxed payroll every 2 weeks.
KLINGSPOR provides a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for employees and covered dependents. Medical plan covers annual physicals, preventative mammogram, chiropractic, emergency, and more.
KLINGSPOR's dental plan provides coverage for preventative, basic, restorative care.
There are two vision plans available, basic and premium. Both provide coverage for eye exams, prescription glasses, and contacts. Extra savings for additional glasses & sunglasses, as well as laser vision correction.
A Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is designed to pay for out-of-pocket health care expenses that are not reimbursable through any other benefit. Employees can decide to have a certain amount of money deducted incrementally from their earnings, which can be used later. It is an opportunity to pay for eligible medical, dental, pharmacy and vision expenses with earnings that have not been taxed.
All KLINGSPOR employees are automatically covered for basic life insurance. Spouse and children currently covered under KLINGSPOR's health insurance are eligible. There is also an offer to sign up for extra coverage each year.
Short Term Disability
KLINGSPOR Abrasives provides a short-term salary continuation plan that is paid to you through payroll. If you have been employed full-time for (1) year and are out under a doctor's care, after a 10-day waiting period, you will receive 60% of your base salary up to a maximum coverage period of 26-weeks.
Long Term Disability
KLINGSPOR Abrasives provides all full-time employees with Long Term Disability (LTD) which covers a portion of your income if you are out of work for an extended period due to an illness or non-work-related injury. Benefit is 60% of monthly income to a maximum of $5000 and begins after a 180-day elimination period.
KLINGSPOR USA has a PTO policy for time away from work that can be used for such needs as vacation, illness, doctor appointments or other personal reasons. Regular full-time employees start with a base number of hours depending on hire date, which increases by years of service. Additional paid time off includes holidays, jury duty, and bereavement leave.
The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) allows employees to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave in a 12-month period for specified family and medical reasons. Eligible employees must have worked for KLINGSPOR USA for 12 months, worked at least 1,250 hours during that time.
Eligible employees are provided a 401K retirement plan on the first month following the meeting of requirements.

KLINGSPOR USA is proud to offer complimentary fitness classes and health initiatives to employees. On-site fitness classes at our North Carolina headquarters, workout videos, healthy recipe ideas and tips for improved mental health are just a few examples covered in the program. Access informative videos anytime from the comfort of your home, or talk to health and fitness professionals in person, all free of charge.
Employees are free to use our indoor gym with various workout equipment like treadmills and weights. Outside, on-site walking trails are available where one can enjoy the outdoors and fountain pond.
KLINGSPOR USA has a wide range of snacks and drinks to purchase, including healthy options. Forgot to bring lunch? Choose from various frozen meals for a quick replacement.
Child Care Center
Families can bring their children to our on-site child care center and feel secure that they are nearby.
The Sandbox is licensed by the NC Division of Child Development in the NC Department of Human Resources. The center is deeply committed to ongoing training and higher education for the teachers and support staff.
